We are Kirill komar and varia Garib, a directing duo based in Vienna. Kirill moved from Ukraine to Germany as a child, while Varia, born in Uzbekistan, lived in several countries before settling in Austria. We share a profound sense of alienation, which forms our artistic work. Drawing on our diverse heritage, we explore eternal themes such as youth, death, sense of belonging, loneliness, and love - always guided by the search for peace.
